Castle Triathlon Series in support of Help for Heroes

Help for Heroes (H4H) will be the Official Charity for the Castle Triathlon Series in 2014. The charity welcomes the ethos of the aspirational tri series, along with the growing sport of triathlon across the UK; and plans to reward the amazing fundraising that triathletes carry out, in conjunction with their training and race goals, with a new bespoke fundraising pack for participants.

(This latest charity alliance follows hot on the heels of a deal confirmed with Vita Coco Coconut Water, which has sealed a new partnership with the Castle Triathlon Series, becoming the series official hydration partner throughout 2014.)

The Castle Triathlon Series which consists of five triathlon festivals at castles in the UK and Europe was a platform for raising more than £150,000 for charities and good causes last year.

As a former Royal Marines helicopter pilot it was a natural collaboration with H4H for Race Director, Brian Adcock. Help for Heroes is offering triathletes racing in the Castle Triathlon Series a fundraising pack including a free running vest and a handy information pack, which will help them support the charity on their fundraising journey, along with full support at the events with integral volunteer staff.

The Castle Triathlon Series aims to make triathlon accessible to all. This has been seen through its wide offering of distances and races tailored for first timers and elites, through to juniors from the age of seven. Furthermore, wounded, injured and sick Band of Brothers members hope to take part in the Castle Triathlon Series events this year; testament to the accessible courses being tailored for para-triathletes.

Bryn Parry, CEO and Co-Founder of Help for Heroes said “We are honoured that the Castle Triathlon Series have chosen Help for Heroes as their Official Charity this year and we can’t thank them enough for their support. The money raised for H4H by taking part in this amazing series of triathlons is greatly needed; soldiers, sailors and airmen who are injured today will still need our support in the future.

“They are still battling and we won’t let them battle alone. On behalf of everyone at Help for Heroes, I would like to wish everyone who takes part the best of luck!”
