Leading global bike trade show, Eurobike continues to make a strong showing according to the show’s organisers. “We are seeing excellent registration figures and are on course for record levels again this year,” said Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann and Eurobike Head Stefan Reisinger.
Preparations for the international bike trade show, which will take place in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from 27-30 August, are in full swing. Furthermore, the decision to move Eurobike Demo Day from the Allgäu region directly to the show’s fairgrounds has reportedly been very well received by manufacturers.
The word from the Eurobike team is that ‘the decision went over very well with our customers and we are expecting a considerable increase in participation.’ The test day for trade visitors and journalists will take place one day before the start of the show, on Tuesday 26 August, and will be held on the east parking area.
Eurobike project leader Dirk Heidrich is certain that even more companies will participate in this year’s Demo Day because the logistics will be easier to manage. Demo Day offers well-marked test routes with ideal conditions on the road and through forests and meadows, in direct proximity to the trade show. The routes cover a total of 20 kilometres including asphalt roads and unpaved paths, even an elevated overlook point with a beautiful view of Lake Constance.
Preparations for the 2014 show are in full swing, both in and outside of the fairgrounds. Due to the heavy demand for exhibition space and the new concept of placing the test area directly at the exhibition halls, this year the Eurobike team has decided to forego the bike obstacle course on the West Open Air Grounds. This opens up more space for companies who would like to offer open-air exhibits in the space between the exhibition halls.
“The current conditions, which are challenging for many manufacturers and specialty retailers, demand the efficient use of budgets, resources and manpower,” said Stefan Reisinger. “As the most important meeting for the bike industry worldwide, Eurobike impresses with its reliability and media presence and offers an unique event-like character”
In total, more than 1200 exhibitors and 40,000 industry visitors from around the world are expected at the Eurobike.
Opening hours
Eurobike Demo Day will take place on Tuesday 26 August from 10:00 to 17:00 CET and will be held at the fairground’s east parking area for the first time. It is only open to trade visitors and accredited journalists.
The Eurobike international bike trade show will be open to industry visitors only from Wednesday 27 August to Friday 29 August, 08:30 to 18:30 It is open to the general public from 09:00 to 18:00 on Saturday 30 August.
Dates set for Eurobike 2015
Looking to the future, the dates have also been set for Eurobike 2015. The international bike show will once again take place in the last week of August, from Wednesday 26 August to Saturday 29 August 2015.
