The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) has announced the short list of winners for its annual awards. The 2013 Hever Castle Triathlon and the Castle Triathlon Series are both included as finalists. The winners will be announced at the NOEA awards presentation on 27 March 2014.
The Castle Triathlon Series has been chosen as one of three finalists to receive the Event Organiser of the Year Award. The UK based organiser will be competing against Another World and TAO Productions for the winning place.
The 2013 Hever Castle Triathlon received praise from the judges placing it in the top three finalists for the Event of the Year Award.
Susan Tanner from NOEA said “The judges thought that the event was great for children and adults, with sporting legends involved and a real family feel, which created an all-round event very worthy of being short-listed for the NOEA awards.”
Race Director, Brian Adcock said “It is great to see the fastest growing sport in the world feature on the wider events agenda. I am very proud of the team’s hard work earning us this recognition, and thank all our growing fans for embracing the Series and our triathlon festival ethos.”
