UK race organiser Dengie Events is celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2015 and has put together another comprehensive schedule of events for next year.
Jamie Cooper, Race Director at Dengie Events said, “Believe it or not it’s our 5th anniversary next year and we couldn’t be happier with the way the events have been received and everything has gone since we started organising. We have a few plans in the pipeline to celebrate and will be introducing a new event later this month. The three triathlons which started it all are back and we have just opened for entries.”
The 5th Big East Triathlon will take place on 17 May 2015 in Bradwell-on-Sea, Essex. This popular early season event gives athletes a choice of Middle Distance (1.6K swim / 82K cycle / 20K run) or Challenge Distance (800m swim / 43K cycle / 10K run) and is open to individual athletes and relay teams. Set in an ideal location for triathlon in eastern England, it is well suited to anyone preparing for the season ahead or in search of a new challenge.
The 5th Fambridge Yacht Haven Half Iron Triathlon will take place on 12 July 2015 near to Chelmsford, Essex. This warm and welcoming event sees athletes take on a 1.9K river swim next to Blue House Farm Nature Reserve, 90K cycle in the peaceful Essex countryside and an 18K run around North Fambridge village. Free camping is available for athletes along with a host of other race facilities and benefits.
The 5th Maldon Triathlon takes place on 26 July 2015 and race organiser Dengie Events is expecting entries to fill fast. The Maldon Triathlon is based around the beautiful Promenade Park and Hythe Quay over the Sprint and Olympic distances.
The event consists of a 750m / 1.5K river swim alongside the Promenade, 28K / 45K cycle on the quiet and scenic roads of the Dengie peninsula and finishes with a 5K / 10K run entirely based around Promenade Park. With plenty of facilities for the whole family, activities throughout the day and countless cafes lining the route the event always draws a large crowd of spectators and provides a great atmosphere for all.
2015 also sees the return of the Guide Dogs Tour of Berkshire Cyclosportive (12 April), Tour of the Dengie Cyclosportive (17 May) and Dengie Events River Run (21 June).
As if that wasn’t enough, to mark the special anniversary in 2015, Dengie Events is also organising a brand new triathlon with the details being released in the coming weeks.
