Run to the Beat… Sure has a fresh new smell!

Sure, the UK’s leading deodorant brand, has signed a three year title sponsorship deal with Run to the Beat, London’s music running event.

Sure has joined forces with organisers IMG Challenger World to deliver Run to the Beat, the unique running series that motivates runners with live music from DJs around the route and celebrates with a festival upon their return.

Sure is seen to provide good brand alignment for the event with its DO:MORE philosophy that inspires people everywhere to ‘set goals, commit to the things that move them and pursue their passions.’ The product’s unique motionSENSE technology, also enables people to ‘DO:MORE by responding directly to body movement, so the more you move, the more it works.’

Previously a half marathon event with headline acts such as Jessie J, Calvin Harris, DJ Fresh and Tinie Tempah, Run to the Beat will take place on 14 September when 15,000 participants will make their way around a brand new 10K course at Wembley Park, home to the legendary Wembley Stadium and arena, which now offers ‘great food, great shopping and great events’.

After six half-marathon events, hosting 96,000 runners and clocking up over one million miles, this year organisers want to give 10K runners the chance to experience the epic music filled run.

Hannah Kehoe, Sure UK Brand Manager said “Partnering with Run to the Beat is a hugely exciting opportunity for the Sure brand. This unique event combines two of our key passions – running and music – and will allow us to share our brand philosophy of ‘DO:MORE’ with keen runners and music fans alike.”

IMG Challenger World Managing Director James Robinson said “We are thrilled to welcome Sure into the Run to the Beat family. This is a great partnership fit for us as the product and brand links nicely to our event and our objectives of motivating runners to DO:MORE and reach their goals.”

Event entries go on public sale on 4 April 2014; however those hoping to get a place ahead of the rush can register their interest now at www.runtothebeat.co.uk to gain access to a 48 hour priority window, which begins on 2 April.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is once again the official charity for Run to the Beat. Last year was one of the most successful running events in the charity’s recent history with over 2,000 participants collectively raising more than £400,000 to invest in improving the lives of blood cancer patients across the UK.

Charity places are also available for the 2014 event: www.runtothebeat.co.uk/charity.
