The organising team at UK multisport race organiser One Step Beyond has confirmed that Zoot will be the official triathlon Run Partner for all events this season, including the Outlaw Half, Outlaw and Cambridge Triathlon.
Helping to reinforce that ‘Zoot shoes are the best in the sport for speedy transitions’, the forthcoming Outlaw Half will feature prizes for the fastest transitions amongst the middle distance event’s 1300 competitors.
Zoot is a global premier endurance brand that was born in Kona in 1983. It was ‘the first brand to embrace tri apparel’ and the brand has built a reputation for its innovative and bright designs. These will undoubtedly add some colour to the National Water Sports Centre when the Outlaw Half takes place on 1 June.
Zoot has pioneered a strong focus on triathlon function – from creating clothing that ‘allowed athletes to avoid using the changing areas in Kona’, to producing award-winning competition triathlon shoes that slip on in seconds and offer long distance comfort.
Damon Street of Zoot said “We’re 100% a multi-sport-brand; we love triathlon and hope that our transition challenge will add a bit of extra fun to the events as well as introducing competitors to our brand.”
Iain Hamilton of One Step Beyond said “Having the Outlaw and Outlaw Half sell out so quickly was fantastic, and to now attract brands of the calibre of Zoot can only add to the athlete and spectator experience.”
He continued, “This year’s expo will be the best yet, and we hope that athletes from around the area will come along to enjoy the spectacle of the event at the National Water Sports Centre on 1 June. We also have the Nottingham Triathlon and the Emergency Services National Championships taking place during that weekend so it should be a brilliant multi-sport weekend.”
Zoot is the official triathlon Run Partner of all One Step Beyond events during 2014 and will feature at race expos including the Outlaw Half (1 June), Outlaw Triathlon (27 July), Club Relays (23-24 August) and City of Cambridge Triathlon (28 September).
