The organizing team at TOUGHMAN have announced the addition of TOUGHMAN UTAH to the TOUGHMAN Half Iron series for 2015. Formerly the UTAH Half triathlon, TOUGHMAN UTAH will take place at Utah State Park in Provo, Utah, on 22 August 2015.
This newly rebranded event is a qualifier for the TOUGHMAN Half Iron Series Championship NY that will take place on 13 September 2015.
The TOUGHMAN Series currently comprises 10 races in the US with locations in: Bradenton FL, Richmond IN, Tupper Lake NY, Sherwood WI, Ocean Shores WA, Chisago MN, Pell City AL, Provo UT and Santa Fe NM.
The series Championship in Croton, on the Hudson, New York has a closed bike course and over US$30,000 worth of age group awards as well as a US$4500 cash purse.
Running in parallel to the TOUGHMAN series the TOUGHKids Triathlon Series is currently 11 races in the US with a Championship in New York on 12 September. TOUGHKids is billed as the largest kids triathlon series in the US and the organizers note that it will be expanding again in 2015.
With over US$3,000 worth of awards, the Championship race at Croton on Hudson features a closed bike course, over 300 volunteers and ‘a race experience for the kids that rivals the adult race the next day.’ As TOUGHAN stresses, ‘Our organization is committed to supporting the next generation of triathletes.’
