Entries are closing on 6 July for the Fambridge Yacht Haven Middle Distance Triathlon in Essex, UK, as the event looks forward to its fifth anniversary.
The event, based near Chelmsford in Essex on 12 July, consists of a 1.9K river swim, 91K cycle on the quiet and scenic Dengie peninsula and finishes with an 18K run around North Fambridge village and nature reserve with support from the local community.
Every entrant to The Fambridge Yacht Haven Half Iron Triathlon receives a special 5th Anniversary mug, goody bag and finishers medal. Winners will receive top of the range Hi-Tec trail running shoes, Zone3 gift vouchers and a triathlon training holiday.
There is free camping for all competitors, free parking, an on-course bike mechanic, post-race massages, bag storage, changing rooms, ‘luxury toilets’, chip timing, aid stations providing Herbalife products and allowing personal supplies, a BBQ, a pub on site and a range of other event facilities and services.
