ASICS has announced a two-year partnership with SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon, one of Europe’s most popular marathons.
The two-year partnership enables ASICS to expand its marathon portfolio, which already includes New York, LA, Tokyo, Paris, Barcelona, Belfast and Greater Manchester marathons.
ASICS will be the official sportswear partner for the 2015 and 2016 SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon. Held over the Irish Bank Holiday weekend of 25-26 October, ASICS will provide the official merchandise for the marathon and will offer unique participant training tips and advice helping runners accomplish their desired results.
To help train for the event, SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon includes a running series, which will lead up to the main event:
- Irish Runner 5 miler on 27 June at Phoenix Park, Dublin
- Fingal 10K on 19 July at Main Street, Dublin Road
- Frank Duffy 10M on 22 August at Phoenix Park, Dublin
- Dublin Half Marathon on 19 September at Phoenix Park, Dublin
- SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon on 26 October at Dublin City Centre

As a ‘brand that understands the needs of runners’, ASICS will be implementing two technologies into the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon to help runners achieve their goals. Pace Your Race is a personalised wristband that each runner can receive prior to the event, which will allow runners to track their time per mile and enable friends and family to locate them on the route.
ASICS has also arranged filming of the marathon and will capture every runner at different positions on the course, giving runners the chance to relive their most memorable moments through a free online film. Further details will be shared on the event website.
