Challenge Dubai is airing on mainstream UK television this weekend, via Channel 4 on Saturday 2 May at 07.05 BST and Ch4+1 at 08.05.
In one of the strongest fields ever assembled for a triathlon, triathletes competed amid the iconic scenery and world-famous landmarks of Dubai.
The starting line-up for the event, which took place on 27 February 2015, contained many world champions, including Javier Gomez, Michael Raelert, Pete Jacobs, Daniela Ryf and Leanda Cave, to name but a few. With a million dollar prize purse available for the winner, the event is the first in the 2015 Challenge Triple Crown Series. The second and third events, in Oman and Bahrain, will follow later in 2015.
