Challenge Roth the movie: less than 24 hours to get the show on the road

Challenge Roth 2014 from the air

From the producer of awarding-winning documentaries Spirit of the Marathon and Spirit of the Marathon II comes Challenge Roth: a new feature-length documentary on the inspiring journey of six triathletes (two professional and four age groupers) as they train and prepare for the largest and one of the most challenging endurance races in the world, Challenge Roth.

With a Kickstarter campaign closing in less than 24 hours, the triathlon film fundraisers need to raise at least US$75,000 to carry them through the editing phase. The money raised will be used to pay for editors and assistant editors.

80% of the filming has been completed, including capturing the intense competition from the air, along the Main Donau Kanal, and across the beautiful Bavarian villages and towns surrounding Roth during the 140.6 mile challenge on the race day in July 2014.

With little outside funding the film team still need to hire post-production expertise for editing, colour correction, music, mixing, etc, to finally release the film.

With theatrical and DVD distribution lined up, and if the funding target is achieved, the film should be released in the second half of 2015.
