French brand EKOÏ, which has built a following internationally in the cycling and triathlon communities, is pushing its latest ‘irresistible offer’ to UK and European athletes. The offer sees the company provide fully customized and colour-coordinated helmets or goggles (and also shoes and one outfit, e.g. jersey+shorts).
EKOÏ is a French brand founded in 2001 by JC Rattel. Having partnered with athletes such as cyclist Fabio Aru (Astana) and the Brownlee brothers, EKOÏ aims to offer all cyclists and triathletes high quality helmets, goggles, shoes, apparel and accessories.
Among others, the distinctive feature of the brand is to be ‘the only one in the world (at present) to offer helmets and glasses (as well as shoes and one outfit) fully customizable.’
Any age group/amateur athlete can enhance their look for race day with his/her own style by clicking on the configurator on the official website of the brand: ekoi.fr. Translated into English, the site will guide athletes step by step to the configuration of helmet, glasses or shoes. And, as the company points out, ‘you can even add your name’ to the finished product.
From head to toe, every cyclist can create his/her own customized equipment. Helmets start from €49 (custom base model) or €39 for the glasses (custom base model). Athletes can also choose the €79 carbon fibre Rock ‘n Carbon goggles, or €129 for the Ekcel Magnetic top helmet.
From racing to triathlon, many pro athletes have chosen to run and ride wearing EKOÏ products. The company cites ‘Fabio Aru of the Astana team (goggles), the members of the AG2R team (helmets) and the English brothers Brownlee (helmets), as well as Frederik Van Lierde (helmets), and Marcel Zamora (goggles), and many more.’
All EKOÏ products are sent (in 8/10 working days from the date of the order) from the company’s warehouse in Saint-Raphaël de Fréjus (France). The company adds that these custom products can only be bought on the ekoi.fr website.
