The organisers of Guernsey’s Granite Man Triathlon have revealed that the event’s headline sponsor will be sports supplement brand, Healthspan Elite.
Healthspan Elite offers a range of vitamins, minerals and micro-nutrients for competing athletes; the products are certified by Informed-Sport, independently screened for a wide range of substances banned by WADA and each tablet is individually sealed, preventing tampering or contamination.
Guernsey Triathlon President and race organiser Mark Naftel said “We are proud to introduce Healthspan Elite as our title sponsor. Nutrition and supplementation are vital for triathletes at all levels who are looking to compete at the peak of their abilities. Being able to choose supplements that are of the highest quality and knowing exactly what those supplements contain is extremely important, and Healthspan Elite enable us to do exactly that.”
Chris Fisher, Head of Healthspan Elite, added “Sponsoring the Guernsey Granite Man is a perfect fit for us. We are a Guernsey-based business and are keen to support local, elite sporting events. Although we work with a number of professional athletes, including Southampton FC and Scottish Rugby, our supplements are formulated for anyone who is serious about improving their performance through good nutrition.”
Healthspan Elite’s ambassadors include Team GB triathlete Holly Lawrence, Commonwealth Swimmer Lewis Coleman, England and Manchester City goalkeeper Karen Bardsley, Commonwealth weightlifter Stephanie Owens and round the world adventurer Sarah Outen MBE.
The Granite Man Guernsey Triathlon takes place on 13 September and comprises a 1.9K open water swim, 90K cycle and 21K run based at Pembroke Bay in the North of the Island. There is also a supporting sprint triathlon event comprising a 750m swim, 20K cycle and 5K run.
