Developed for the Movistar Team taking on the most challenging summer conditions, Endura’s latest piece of high-performance cycle clothing is now available for all riders. As the latest addition to the Scottish company’s FS260-Pro range: the new FS260-Pro SL Jersey has arrived.
Three times Olympian and multiple British mountain bike champion Oli Beckingsale has shed a lot of sweat in the climate chamber of the University of Kent for the research and development of this garment. According to Endura, the result: the FS260-Pro SL Jersey proves to be 15% better at keeping a rider cool on a simulated alpine climb at 30ºC than a reference jersey, and at a mere 85g (size medium) it is 40% lighter.
The FS260-Pro SL Jersey ‘delivers super lightweight, fast-wicking performance for hot weather riding.’ This striking, fully sublimation printed race jersey is made to the same specification as the Movistar Team issue piece; however its aesthetic has been adapted to match perfectly with the FS260-Pro range and the FS260-Pro SL Bibshorts system.
Made from a combination of extra fine, super light, rapid wicking fabrics, the FS260-Pro SL Jersey will keep riders cool on even the hottest climbs. In the riding position, the back, shoulders and arms are a lot more exposed to the sun than the front. With this in mind a super light mesh fabric is used for the front of the jersey, whereas the fabric on the back and the sleeves is slightly more substantial offering a sun protection factor of UPF25+ to minimise risk of sunburn.
Lightweight underarm mesh panels and the ¾ length concealed front zip provide increased ventilation.
The jersey comes in an athletic cut for non-flap race fit and features a minimalist, low weight triple rear pocket construction. Lightweight silicone internal cuff grippers hold the Lycra sleeves in place, while an internal hem elastic with silicone grip prevents the jersey from riding up.
