National day of pain: ‘celebrating’ Sufferlandrian National Day on 23 August

Sufferlandrian National Day on 23 August

The team at Sufferfest, from the land of ‘Sufferlandria’, are today celebrating Sufferlandrian National Day to stoke up some turbo training activity and spread a bit of suffering!

As a release from Sufferfest notes, ‘It’s that most glorious time of year. If you’ve noticed the stirrings of a patriotic thunder, felt the urge to belt out a few refrains of our National Anthem ‘Gotta Suffer’ … then it’s because Sufferlandrian National Day approaches. This year, SUFDAY is 23rd of August.’

The company continued, ‘As usual, we encourage all Sufferlandrians to gather with other Sufferlandrians in their area, and Destroy Each Other….er, partake in a Communal Feat of Supreme Suffering.

The official challenge
The official challenge laid down by the Sufferfest Minions is to do both the ISLAGIATT and Angels Sufferfest videos back-to-back on 23 August. This will involve three hours in Sufferlandria; ‘seven nasty climbs into the rarefied atmosphere of agony. It will be awesome; in that horrible kind of way.’

For those who want to dream up their own challenge, the team at Sufferfest point out, ‘As long as you Suffer, we support you. Whatever it is, we hope you finish it up around a table with fellow Sufferlandrians, eating well and drinking the ‘real pagne’ while telling stories of honour, glory and victory.’

The #SUFDAY event will run on Facebook where athletes can stay up-to-date with developments, find other Sufferlandrians in their area, and share in tales of glory and/or suffering!

Riders can subscribe to the Sufferfest app via iTunes, Google Play or Roku to get access to the latest videos immediately or, for the next 48 hours, for an individual purchase, Sufferfest is currently offering more than 15% off the retail price of the ISLAGIATT and Angels Sufferfest videos.

Based in Singapore, The Sufferfest makes ‘the world’s best indoor cycling videos’, combining officially licensed footage of professional bike races such as the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia with high energy, hand-picked music and structured interval workouts designed by world-class coaches.

The Sufferfest is the official sponsor of the UCI Women’s Road World Cup as well as the sponsor of Africa’s first all-black UCI Elite Mountain Bike Team, ACE-TheSufferfest-Lesotho. The Sufferfest was founded in 2009 by David McQuillen and has customers in more than 70 countries.

‘Sufferlandria [a country that knows no borders, only lactate thresholds] continues to lobby the UN for recognition and fights the forces of sinister, terrible Couchlandria.’
