Scappa is an Italian company producing luxury bespoke bicycle frames that are 100% hand-made in Italy. Scappa was founded in 2010 by Gernot Mueller, who brings nearly 30 years of experience in the cycling business. The name Scappa comes from the Italian verb ‘Scappare’, meaning ‘to escape’, and the head of the stallion, which lies at the heart of the company’s emblem, portraying the values of freedom, strength, youth and vitality.
Based on Gernot’s professional background and extensive knowledge of the industry, it has always been a quest for him to both improve and optimise the design of existing cycles. His vision was therefore to develop the ultimate, luxury, bespoke frame, which in turn, became a reality. Designed and manufactured in Italy, all Scappa frames created today are made-to-measure and tailored according to the requirements of every individual.
