The third annual Estes Trail Ascent – US Trail Running Conference takes place on 7-10 October 2015, in Estes Park, Colorado. In tandem with the conference, the XTERRA Marathon of Trail Races in Colorado Springs is on 11 October, ‘combining to make a great destination getaway for XTERRA trail runners and race directors alike.’
The Conference features 1–1/2 days dedicated to Trail Race Directors, with expert panelists such as Craig Thornley (WS100), Tia Bodington (Miwok 100K), Ron Ilgen (Pikes Peak) & Tanner Bell (Ragnar). There is a networking evening included, as well as an exclusive expo with exhibitors related to servicing and delivering successful race organization.
For trail runners, there is a mix of group fun runs with guest elite athletes, demo trail shoe opportunities, interactive speaker panels, and workshops on trail technique, stretching & flexibility. A varied expo full of trail related products and services will feature names such as Pearl Izumi, Altra Running, VFuel, etc.
There will be an additional track for beginning trail runners, or those just thinking about sampling the fast-growing sport of trail running and all that it has to offer.
