British eco-performance sock brand, TEKO, is introducing the latest additions to its award-winning range, Compression SLEEVE and Compression HIGH.
TEKO notes that it has taken the science behind medical compression to ‘develop a sleeve and sock engineered to help athletes maximise performance and recovery by improving blood circulation and leg health, which is key to optimising performance.’
The Compression SLEEVE and Compression HIGH sock are ‘scientifically proven to improve blood flow by allowing athletes to reach higher speeds using less energy, increase athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury.’ According to the company, this makes them ideal for marathon training as well as other athletic endurance activities.
TEKO’s Compression range works by:
- Applying consistent compression to the calf
- Allowing the arterial walls to relax
- Increasing the flow of oxygen-rich blood by up to 40%
The socks and sleeves also feature ‘graduated compression’ which means they are tighter around the ankle and looser in the calf. This effectively ‘targets the arteries and allows proper blood flow back to the heart, while compression in the ankle penetrates deep veins to push blood back to the heart.’
The range is constructed from TEKO’s lightweight, quick drying, durable and eco-friendly, EVAPOR8 fabric, which is seen to be ideally suited to intensive athletic activities.
The Compression HIGH, retailing at £30, offers a full calf height sock, while the Compression SLEEVE, which offers maximum compression and retails at £25, is an ankle to calf height product.
Both products in the new Compression range are available in sizes S, M, L & XL in Black/Firefly, White/Firefly & Firefly colourways, which incorporate TEKO’s innovative reflective yarns for higher visibility during low light conditions.
