In Australia, regional state governing body Triathlon NSW has confirmed a partnership 100% Events to deliver the NSW Sprint Series. Taking place in Kurnell, a suburb in southern Sydney, and in Penrith, in metropolitan Sydney, the series gets under way on Sunday 13 December 2015.

“As an organisation committed to offering events for all ages and ability levels, Triathlon NSW are excited to be partnering with 100% Events,” said Triathlon NSW CEO Phil Dally. “100% Events are dedicated to building events on sound, sustainable and safe industry leading practices to create awesome experiences for all participants.”

He continued, “We received a large number of quality submissions from event management companies, all well experienced in the management of triathlon events. All bids were considered based on key criteria including experience at delivering multi-sport events, safety record, financial history and growth potential for the Triathlon NSW Sprint Series.”

Kicking off on 13 December 2015 at Kurnell, the season culminates at the world class International Regatta Centre, Penrith, for the introduction of draft legal age group racing. The Penrith Festival is also a 2016 ITU World Sprint Distance Qualifier.

In addition to the Sydney races there will be two other races added to the series including the Orange Triathlon and Multisport Festival and a trip across the border into Canberra.

“The team at 100% Events are thrilled to be producing what is one of Australia’s most significant and iconic city based triathlon series,” said Mark Stewart MD at 100% Events. “With three races at Kurnell and the introduction of draft legal age group racing at Penrith, which is one of two World Championship qualifying events, this series is certainly a must do!”

He added, “We are looking forward to the continued development and innovation of the series as we strengthen and grow the wonderful sport of triathlon across NSW.”

Entries will open on Thursday 10 of September with a 48 hour members only special on series passes and Race 1.
