The inaugural Aldi Manchester Half Marathon is getting its UK TV screening on Saturday 29 October on Channel 4 at 06:40 GMT and Ch4+1 at 07:40. Attracting one of the strongest elite fields of the year – the race, which took place on Sunday 16 October 2016, attracted fierce competition to its flat and fast course.

Organised by Xtra Mile Events, the same team as the award-winning ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon, 12,000 runners returned to the streets of Manchester this month, encouraged by cheering fans and course-side entertainment. The Aldi Manchester Half Marathon TV show is being presented by Katharine Merry. It is produced by Dream Team TV, as part of its long-standing partnership with Channel 4.
