As the clocks go back in the UK and the nights draw in, Blaze is teaming up with Strava for a special challenge and the chance to win one of 10 bike light sets to help keep riders visible this winter.

As part of the Blaze Challenge on Strava, Blaze wants cyclists to complete a ride of any length in the week following the clocks changing (between 31 October and 6 November) to help reach a collaborative total of 1 million km. Riders can ‘Join in and show the world that although the clocks may change, our cycling habits don’t have to.’

Research undertkane by the Transport Research Laboratory reportedly found that 48% of cyclists who reduce their cycling during the darker winter months are worried about being visible at night. Blaze, with the help of its pair of innovative bike lights – the Laserlight and the Burner – is aiming to help worried cyclists become more visible in the impending darkness of the winter months and keep cycling.
