Velo29 Events, which this summer acquired all Kilo 2 GO event trademarks and assets following the voluntary liquidation of Kilo 2 GO earlier this year, has opened up entry to the popular Cheshire Cat sportive. Taking place next year on Sunday 26 March in Cheshire, North West England, Velo29 Events currently has an early bird price available for the 2017 event – at £20 for the Medium and Long distance options and £14 for the Short distance.
In line with all Velo29 sportives, the Cheshire Cat will have a standard price of £25. Early bird pricing will be limited until 16 October.
Velo29 Events has a team with over 30 years of combined experience in the cycling events industry. This ranges from sportives, to national championships, time trials and circuit racing. The company has vowed to ‘return some of the Kilo to Go classics back to their former glory’. The Cheshire Cat is back to its original date in late March with the start line in the surroundings of Queens Park in Crewe. Parking facilities are available nearby at Cheshire East College.
In taking over the former Kilo 2 GO events, Velo29 adds that it is honouring the riders that lost out in the 2016 liquidation of Kilo to GO; as, anyone that paid to enter in 2016 will be given a free place to the 2017 event. Riders should forward proof of entry to events[at]velo29.com and a discount code will be issued.
