The organising team at Ocean Lava Montenegro has released a new video that aims to showcase ‘the passion and emotion of training and racing triathlon while discovering a new, unique triathlon destination.’
The motto ‘It’s not about winning or losing, it’s about passion!’ has been chosen for the first edition of Ocean Lava Montenegro, and the first ever middle distance triathlon in Montenegro, which takes place in Kotor City on Sunday 3 July.
The new video spotlights the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska) with the race venue of Kotor itself, a beautiful coastal town which Lonely Planet has named as a number one city to visit in the world.
Lonely Planet reportedly describes Kotor, Montenegro, on its website as a ‘dramatically beautiful town… wedged between brooding mountains and a moody corner of the bay.’ Kotor is particularly busy in July and August when ‘the yachts of the super-rich fill the marina’ but Lonely Planet adds that the town ‘never gets quite as Euro-trashy as some other parts of the coast.’
Ocean Lava’s commitment is to provide all triathletes with a safe race experience, beautiful scenery, and warm support in a unique and breath-taking atmosphere. Kotor is seen as a perfect destination for a new middle distance race, and the organising team add that ‘the triathlon world is looking for a new unique race close to Bay of Kotor to fall in love with.’
‘Under the Ocean Lava brand and spirit’, the warm Mediterranean climate in Montenegro, tourism infrastructure and middle-of-season timing are seen as a particular draw in the increasingly new, competitive tri event marketplace in Montenegro.
