Polar has announced new updates for its A360 fitness tracker with optical heart rate:
- The A360 is now compatible with the recently launched Polar Balance scale.
- The latest A360 software update allows users to keep the display lit for the entire duration of their workout, so they can continuously see and track heart rate throughout the entire session.
The stylish, comfortable and waterproof A360 provides wrist-based heart rate training guidance, 24/7 activity tracking, sleep tracking and vibrating smart notifications, all of which are displayed on a high-resolution colour touchscreen.
When combined, the A360, Balance and Polar Flow app and web service provide ‘a complete solution to help users stay active and reach and maintain their goal weight goals.’ Polar Flow tailors activity goals to an individual’s needs, and the A360 helps to provide appropriate motivation and guidance to keep users on track.
To begin, users set a target weight loss goal and timeframe in Polar Flow. Users then weigh themselves periodically, and sync their information with Polar Flow or the A360 via Bluetooth Smart. Polar Flow will provide personalized guidance by calculating and adjusting daily activity goals that users can then follow via their A360.
The Polar Flow app also offers insight into progress, and motivational feedback to keep users on track with a balanced lifestyle.
The Polar Flow web service aims to offer up a window into a person’s fitness and training diary. If training with a coach or personal trainer, Polar Flow for Coach offers additional training support, as users can connect and share workout information via the web service and receive feedback from their coaches. The A360 also works with Polar Club, allowing users to train with club instructors and view live heart rate data during fitness classes.
The A360 is available now in the new colour offerings of Sorbet Pink (size: S, M) or Navy Blue (size: M), or in the original Powder White (size: S) or Charcoal Black (size: M, L) for US$199.95 at Polar.com. The Polar Balance is available now in white or black for US$99.95 at Polar.com.
