The Triathlon Trust has launched its 2016 Christmas Appeal, supporting children across the UK to get more active using the sport of triathlon. All funds raised help the charity to deliver fun, free and inclusive activities and events for children aged 7-13 years old.
This Christmas season the trust is asking its supporters to set up a monthly donation to support its work. The trust notes that having a steady and reliable income helps it plan for the future and manage its costs. Those who set up a monthly donation of £10 or more, receive either a set of cufflinks or a pin badge as a token of thanks and to allow supporters to show/wear their support for the Triathlon Trust.
The Triathlon Trust has been active since the end of 2012. Originally named the British Triathlon Foundation Trust, the organisation is the official charity of British Triathlon. The trust aims to use the engaging sport of triathlon to encourage children to become more active, not only improving their health, but also developing their social skills, increasing self esteem and nurturing good habits such as commitment, discipline and respect.
