Continuing its summer of endurance sport broadcasting in the UK, mainstream TV station Channel 4 is airing the University of Wales Swansea Triathlon on Saturday 30 June at 07:00 GMT, and Channel 4+1 at 08:00. The show is produced via Channel 4’s partnership with Dream Team TV and is also available via catch up online at All 4.
New for 2016, the Swansea Triathlon took place on Sunday 5 June in Wales’s second city and offered a sprint distance race for elite and age-group athletes. With the action taking place in the city centre, the competitors received loud support from local crowds.
The event is organised by Activity Wales – the team behind ‘Wales’ largest multi-sport event’, the Long Course Weekend, which takes place in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
The Swansea Triathlon show, airing on 30 June, is presented by Aly Vance with commentary from Patrick Winterton.
