31 July 2016 IRONMAN Maastricht-Limburg (Netherlands)
The IRONMAN Maastricht-Limburg course will lead through some of the region’s most picturesque areas and will finish at the market in the city centre of Maastricht. The 3.8km swim course will take place in the Maas river followed by a beautiful yet challenging 180.2km bike course and a 42.2km marathon run around Maastricht and the ‘Sports Zone’ of Sittard-Geleen.
3 July 2016 IRONMAN 70.3 Haugesund (Norway)
The IRONMAN 70.3 Haugesund is one of the most scenic, as athletes will swim in Skeisvatnet, a small lake in the rural part of Haugesund, compete on the bike along the coastline of the North Sea and run through the town centre before they finish at the inner harbour of Haugesund.
21 August 2016 IRONMAN Copenhagen (Denmark)
The course passes many of the picturesque city’s historic landmarks, such as the world-famous Opera House, the Little Mermaid statue, Amalienborg Palace (home of the Danish Queen) and the New Harbour waterfront.
27 August 2016 IRONMAN 70.3 Vichy (France)
Athletes will swim in the beautiful Lake Allier, using the rowing race infrastructure to guide them through the course. The easy bike course in the country heads through the regions of Allier and Puy-de-dome, with exceptional views of the Chaine des Volcans d’Auvergne. The day ends with a run course on the shores of Lac d’Allier and through historical Vichy, where hundreds of spectators will line the course to cheer the athletes to the finish.
29 January 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 South Africa (Buffalo City)
Athletes will begin their day with a 1.2-mile ocean swim in East London’s Orient Beach. Protected by the breakwaters of East London’s harbour, athletes can expect generally calm and warm waters. The rolling hills of the 56-mile bike course will be a challenge. Road closures will allow the athletes to safely navigate the course while enjoying the inherent beauty of the landscape. A 13.1-mile, flat run will consist of two-loops with spectacular ocean views. Finishers will be greeted in true style with African dancers, music and spectators.
Entry closes 13 June 2016.
