This October’s Dreams Come True Halloween Fun Run at Heaton Park is working with Manchester organisation, The Factory Youth Zone. The event takes place at noon GMT on Sunday 29 October, at the Heaton Park in Manchester, North West England.

The event is something that anyone and everyone can get involved with, and we expect that many families and groups of friends will dress up and have a great day.”
Michael Phipps, Youth Work Team Leader at The Factory Youth Zone said; “The Factory Youth Zone are delighted to be getting involved with the Halloween Fun Run at Heaton Park, and we have no doubt our members will enjoy taking part, dressing up and providing a few scares along the way to the participants!
“The Factory is a place where young people aged 8 to 18 (25 with additional needs) are supported to fulfil their potential and make positive choices so they can lead happy, healthy lives. Using sport and creative activities, Factory staff work closely with over 1,000 members each week to raise aspirations and give practical help.”
Organised by Walkden-based Sports Tours International, the 5km Fun Run is attracting participants of all ages and ability levels, who will dress up in Halloween inspired costumes to complete the course – and The Factory Youth Zone’s youngsters will be on hand to give them all a fright!
The event has lots on offer in the Athlete Village for participants, including free Manchester Giants Basketball tickets for all Under 15s, special Halloween cake bars from Soreen and a ‘super spooky glow in the dark medal at the finish’.
Heaton Park is one of Manchester’s most iconic open spaces, covering 600 acres and incorporating the grade one listed 18th century Heaton Hall, which will act as the backdrop for the fun run. The route itself will start and finish in the ‘Ghastly Ghost Town’ with a number of activities and attractions planned as well as out on the route itself ‘a number of spine-chilling surprises will be in store for the participants’.
Early Bird race entry is £16 per person or a group ticket for four people is £40 with £1 of every entry going direct to the charity Dreams Come True.
