The TIDAL music streaming service has become a partner of a ‘Music Year in Triathlon’ in Poland. The ‘high fidelity streaming’ company will support a competition for bands that will play on four stages for participants at this year’s Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia. The IM 70.3 event takes place on the Baltic coast of Poland, on 3-5 August 2018.
TIDAL is a global music streaming service created for fans by artists themselves from around the world. The service claims to offer the best sound quality and high definition video, as well as discovering new artists through ‘TIDAL Rising’ and unique experiences through ‘TIDAL X’. TIDAL is available in 52 countries with a catalogue of over 57 million songs and 230,000 high quality films.
At this year’s Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia, during race day, on Sunday, August 5, along the running route, there will be four stages where several music bands will play live for athletes and fans.
“We focus on energetic music; and the athletes will be helped to overcome fatigue in the last stage of the triathlon competition,” said Michał Drelich, Managing Director of SE Group, the organizer of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia.
He continued, “We are pleased that the TIDAL music service has decided to support our initiative. We are in agreement that music has incredible power. It can add energy and lift our spirits when we need it the most.
“We invite all residents of Gdynia to join in the fun and visit the TIDAL Supporting Points in the Park of the Council of Europe, at the City Hall and at the bus terminus, as well as at the Seaside Boulevard at the Barakuda Restaurant.”
The cooperation between the race organizer and the TIDAL music service also means that participating athletes and fans will also learn what songs are being listened to by Enea’s ambassadors at IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia. These ambassadors include Polish singer Kasia Stankiewicz, actor Tomasz Karolak and TV presenter Maciej Dowbor, as well as triathlon stars such as Mirinda Carfrae and Tim O’Donnell and Daniela Ryf. These ambassadors’ playlists are now available to TIDAL users.
All participants of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia will find vouchers worth PLN 90 (approx. US$25) in their starter packages for use at the TIDAL website.
IRONMAN remains the world’s largest series of triathlon events – present in over 50 countries. Every year, 300,000 athletes from 180 countries participate in full distance IRONMAN and middle distance IRONMAN 70.3 events. In Poland, two events are held under the license of the World Triathlon Corporation – Enea IRONMAN 5150 Warsaw and Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia.
Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia is billed as the largest triathlon competition in Central and Eastern Europe. Approximately 4,000 athletes from several dozen countries around the world compete each year.
