Stand-up cycling specialist ElliptiGO has extended a partnership with Race Guards, a provider of on-course, in-race first aid for events.
Race Guards originally added ElliptiGO Stand Up Bikes to its race support offering last autumn/fall at long distance events in Southern California and Texas. Select volunteers can now be seen riding the all-terrain ElliptiGO Mountain Stand Up Bike.
This added tool offers event support team an ability to reach more course locations more quickly. This can improve its ability to spot participants in need of help, and to carry additional first aid supplies on the course.
“Working with Race Guards was a natural fit for ElliptiGO, as we both seek to make active people everywhere healthier and happier,” said Bryce Whiting, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ElliptiGO.
“This partnership is an opportunity to make it simple for those volunteers utilizing our bikes to reach participants in need of care, and also to remind athletes that they can reach race day injury-free by cross-training during their season.”
“Our team of Race Guards are endurance runners who provide in-race support for athletes,” said Andy Voggenthaler, founder of Race Guards. “By adding a couple of ElliptiGO bikes to our race mix, our team is able to be even more effective and responsive on the course on race day.”
