ROTOR presents new Triathlete Aero range plus concept bike collaborations

Bike accessories specialist ROTOR is in the Hawaiian paradise of Kona for the upcoming IRONMAN World Championship. The company is using this year’s iconic event to present its new INspider power meter and Aero chainrings, as well as some ‘exciting concept bike collaborations specific to endurance’.

In the race-week build-up to the IRONMAN World Championship, which takes place on Saturday, 12 October, ROTOR will be showing off its new INspider. This features bike-fit ready cranksets with sizes from 150mm to 175mm. In addition, the company is presenting its new Aero Oval chainrings and power meters: 2INpower and INpower.

In collaboration with Ventum (official bike partner of IRONMAN Hawaii) and Profile Design, ROTOR will also present some concepts. According to the company, these showcase ‘a new way of understanding speed, endurance, precision and biomechanics.’

A release from ROTOR added… ‘We believe we have created something special so the world’s elite endurance athletes can benefit from the highest accuracy in measurement of power and shifting, advanced aerodynamics and fine-tuned ergonomics to maintain the best performance for the maximum possible time.’

This year ROTOR will have its strongest representation yet of pro triathletes on the starting line ‘with real possibilities of achieving a victory’. At the IRONMAN World Championship so far ROTOR’s best result has been the second place, achieved by British triathlete Lucy Charles in 2017 using 2INpower Road and Q RINGS oval chainrings.

This year Belgian Bart Aernouts, second place in the 2018 IRONMAN World Championship with a sub 8 hour performance, will try to go one step further and climb to the top of the podium. Bart Aernouts was joined on the podium by British triathlete David McNamee in his second consecutive third place finish.

Commenting about riding with Q RINGS, David McNamee said “I perform better towards the end of the 180km with Q RINGS and I feel better running off the bike using them.”
