SRAM recently launched its newest Red eTap AXS groupset. Alongside this, Quarq launched a new integrated power meter. SRAM notes that this integration allowed it to make the lightest and stiffest power meter possible.
SRAM’s 2x road chainrings last a claimed 50% longer than the previous generation of chainrings. When it’s time to replace an integrated power meter, riders can contact SRAM for a half-price replacement, and the company will recycle the old one.
SRAM AXS app
SRAM adds that the SRAM AXS app is where all of the magic happens. Available for iOS and Android, the app allows riders to build a bike with all of its connected components, monitor battery levels and firmware updates, and customize shift patterns or button function.
The AXS app will also pair to all Quarq DZero power meters via BLE and offers the same firmware updates and battery monitoring features as Qalvin BLE.
Power Meter Facebook group
For any riders that are curious about a new power meter, or who have questions about training or compatibility, SRAM has created a Facebook group to discuss anything power meter related. Questions will be answered either by Quarq staff or by one of the hundreds of cyclists in the group.
