The IRONMAN team in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) has confirmed the postponement of 14 IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3 triathlons and 5i50 Triathlon Series events in Europe and South Africa due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic. IRONMAN EMEA noted that alternative dates and options will be provided to athletes as soon as possible.
‘We have been following and will continue to follow the direction and recommendations of public health agencies and local authorities and are committed to informing athletes as soon as possible if they are affected by changes to their race. Going forward, athletes will receive an update no later than 50 days before their scheduled race date, and we endeavour to ensure these updates come even earlier wherever possible.’

Meanwhile, in the United States:
- After assessing all event scenarios, the inaugural Certified Piedmontese IRONMAN Tulsa, originally scheduled for May 31, 2020 has been rescheduled to May 23, 2021. All registered athletes of the 2020 Certified Piedmontese IRONMAN Tulsa triathlon will be receiving an email with further information.
- The 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 Connecticut, originally scheduled for May 31 has been cancelled. All registered athletes will be receiving an email with further information.
