Cancelled Oz Trails Off-Road event forces return of Epic Rides’ series in 2021

Epic Rides has announced that the 2020 Oz Trails Off-Road event, scheduled for October 9-11 in Bentonville and Bella Vista, Arkansas, has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Out of respect for public health within Benton County, Arkansas, the event organiser has decided to focus on next year’s Oz Trails Off-Road scheduled for October 8-10, 2021.

A release from the company noted…

‘Epic Rides events exist to facilitate health and build community. Unfortunately, each of those functions are not able to co-exist for the moment. As a result, Epic Rides embraces the personal and organizational responsibility to protect its community in order to foster progress toward health, wellness and the ultimate recovery of the economy.’

“The Oz Trails Off-Road is a great event our community looks forward to every year,” said Kalene Griffith, President and CEO of Visit Bentonville. “We’ll miss not being able to welcome our cycling friends from all over the country, but look forward to hosting another exciting Oz Trails Off-Road in 2021.”

Like the now-cancelled Whiskey Off-Road, Grand Junction Off Road, and Carson City Off-Road events across the United States, Epic Rides’ is taking extra precautions during COVID-19 to ensure the health and safety of its participants and their families.

“We are excited each year for all the fun and talent this event brings to our trails and our communities, but we respect and agree with the decision to cancel this year’s event to ensure everyone’s safety,” said Peter Christie, Mayor of Bella Vista. “We will be looking forward to the 2021 event.”

Participants registered for this year’s Oz Trails Off-Road will receive an e-mail from Epic Rides with further details.
