RaceNation, the event registration, fundraising and event day app, has released new features that are designed to protect and support the industry from event cancellations.
The new event cancellation and refund protection options are fully integrated into RaceNation services. This gives event organisers the opportunity to protect all of their events in one place while race entrants also have the option to protect their individual bookings.
RaceNation’s Event Protect event cancelation will provide… ‘event organisers the option of certainty in the case of a cancellation / postponement / abandonment / curtailment of an event covered under the Event Protect Programme.’
As part of the service, Event Protect will cover a large range of cancellation reasons beyond the control of the event organiser. RaceNation will provide refunds directly to ticket holders in a ‘fast and transparent way so organisers don’t have to.’
Refund Protect will also allow entrants the option to protect their booking. To support Event Organisers, RaceNation will provide entrants the ability to protect their own booking for anl extra fee by taking out Refund Protect.
This policy entitles entrants to a full refund if they can no longer take part, for any of the reasons covered under the policy. This may mean that an entrant can receive a full refund from this policy rather than under the terms and conditions of the organiser’s event.
