HOKA has confirmed that the new Clifton Edge run shoe goes on pre-sale on June 15th and will be available online and through selected retailers from July 1st. The company notes that ‘the Clifton Edge is a culmination of all the brand’s footwear innovation to date.’
To celebrate the launch of the Clifton Edge, HOKA will be launching the HOKA Ekiden Strava Challenge to promote global movement and the spirit of joining together – even if from a distance.
HOKA adds that staying connected is more important than ever in the wake of social distancing measures. The Ekiden Strava Challenge – named for the ‘Ekiden’ relay-style running race originating in Japan, which requires teams to work together for peak performance – provides a chance for athletes everywhere to connect virtually.
Starting on June 29th and running for four weeks, participants will be encouraged to run at least 5K per week for the duration of the challenge, and can participate as individuals or on a virtual team of four.
Those who complete the challenge will be entered to win a pair of Clifton Edge shoes. Athletes can register (for free) for the challenge via Strava starting today, June 15, 2020.
The Clifton Edge shoe has an RRP of €160 / £140.
