IRONSTAR, which is billed as ‘the biggest triathlon event organizer in Russia’, has teamed up with virtual cycling specialist ROUVY to ‘add some unique bike courses to the digital cycling platform.’
All IRONSTAR bike courses will be added to the ROUVY digital cycling platform by the end of 2020 and will be available to all users. IRONSTAR also plans to run a series of virtual races in the winter season of 2020-2021. The first test race will be held on June 14th.

IRONSTAR is headquartered in Moscow, Russia. It has been established for 6 years and reports ‘150+ competitions held, 35000+ happy finishers’.
The inaugural virtual race will take place on the most popular IRONSTAR route – in Sochi. There will be a bilingual (RUS+ENG) live broadcast in Zoom during the event.
In 2015, Sochi, on the Black Sea in South West Russia, hosted the ETU Triathlon European Cup Final. The ETU race was organised by the IRONSTAR team.
The IRONSTAR Sochi route is 100km long with a 600m elevation gain. It features picturesque scenery of the Caucasus Mountains and the Mzymta River valley. The route starts on the shore of the Black sea coast in the Olympic district of Sochi (Adler) and goes up to the Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort.
IRONSTAR Sochi reports more than 4,000 athletes participating in the main real-world event.
