The ‘kid-tuned’ 140/130mm suspension of the Future Pro Ransom MTB is paired with a custom frame and geometry that provides a ‘very low standover height and promotes a stable, balanced, and safe position.’
According to SCOTT Sports, this ‘allows kids to tackle descents with confidence and gives parents peace of mind. When they’re ready to pedal back up for more, the Syncros Ducan Dropper keeps the transitions quick.’
The Future Pro Ransom comes in two models: the Ransom 600 with 26″ wheels and the Ransom 400 with 24″ wheels. Both bikes can be fitted with 24” or 26” wheels with SCOTT’s flip-chip system on the linkage allowing this bike to last.
The Ransom 600 shares the aggressive genes of the SCOTT Ransom but has been built up from scratch specifically for young riders. A release from SCOTT explained…
‘We built the Ransom 400 and 600 with the same aggressive intentions as the “big” Ransom, but for a kid. At the same time, we wanted to support a balanced position with equalized weight over both wheels for a safer ride. For the bike, this means a slack head angle and low BB for stable and confident cornering.
‘The extra low standover height allows kids to put their feet down if needed and a short head tube keeps the handlebar low and weight over their front wheel, giving control over their line.’
