Founders of event organising firm RunThrough – Ben Green and Matt Wood – both former international runners, have designed and developed a new range of running clothing.
With the restrictions placed on mass gatherings they have chosen to bring forward the launch of RunThrough Kit to tie in with RunThrough’s virtual running series, which has over 15,000 runners entered.
The clothing range includes various running apparel items. Ben Green said “We have been developing the kit intensely behind the scenes for the last year, and we are happy we have finally got to the point where we are happy to launch.
“We didn’t want to launch it with just a couple of items; we wanted a full range of clothing so we had a fully functional kit shop at our events. We have hoodies, t-shirts, reflective jackets, leggings, shorts, rain jackets, socks and caps with more items being developed all the time.”
Through its beginnings in 2013, RunThrough has expanded in the UK running events market particularly in London and Manchester. With over 150 events per year and now with well over 500,000 runners taking part in a RunThrough event, the team thought clothing would ‘not only be the perfect supplement to what it does, but also a solid stand-alone brand.’
Matt Wood said “We are confident that the products we have are comparable if not better than others in the same sphere as us. With our passion and knowledge of the running industry it just made perfect sense to bring this to market, and we believe with our ties to the industry we are here for the long term.”
