XTERRA Australia postponed to early 2022

XTERRA Global, owner and producer of the XTERRA World Tour and XTERRA Australia, has confirmed that the inaugural XTERRA Australia off-road triathlon and sports festival scheduled for March 14, 2021 in Lorne, Victoria, has been postponed to 2022.

“XTERRA Australia will be a major event on the XTERRA World Tour, and require the work and attendance of our key staff, based outside of the country, along with elite and amateur participants from throughout the Asia-Pacific region,” said XTERRA President Janet Clark.

“Due to government travel restrictions, travel into Australia is not currently available, and there is no indication the restrictions will ease anytime soon, thus necessitating the push to 2022.”

Australian-based operating team Rapid Ascent will continue to serve as the local liaison for the 2022 event, which will include an XTERRA championship distance triathlon with US$25,000 in prize money for elites and World Championship slots for age groupers, a half distance off-road triathlon, trail runs, a kids event, camps, clinics, and social gatherings.

The new 2022 date for XTERRA Australia will be announced in the coming weeks.
