Auro launches ‘Fit in 30’ New Year challenge

London based fitness technology start-up, Auro, has launched its ‘Fit in 30’ New Year challenge. This involves completing any 10 classes via the app, between January 4th and February 2nd. To give an extra bit of motivation, participants will also be in with a chance of winning a set of home gym equipment worth £150.

A release from the company added that… ‘Whether a budding marathon runner, training for IRONMAN UK, or just looking to have some fun whilst working out, Auro can provide the well-needed support throughout everybody’s fitness and wellness journey.’

The audio fitness and wellness app has reported success whilst many gyms have been shut; and as athletes look for motivational workouts and wellness classes they can do at home to keep their body and mind active.

Auro is encouraging people to start 2021 with a positive outlook and start to feel healthier and happier. The Auro app provides hundreds of classes, personalised for the user and recommended based on their fitness level and goals.

All of Auro’s classes are on-demand, so all that is required is a set of earphones/headphones or a speaker and a smartphone. Classes can also be downloaded in advance in case there is no Wi-Fi when choosing to work out.

The app offers up in-ear training for outdoor running, walking, treadmill, cross trainer, strength training, spin, rowing, yoga, meditation and Pilates, all guided by expert trainers and ‘curated with a killer playlist’. Users can also overlay their own music playlists from Spotify, Apple or Amazon Music if they prefer to choose their own.

Auro’s personal trainers offer professional fitness advice throughout the classes and guide users through their workout or wellness class, ensuring they have the right technique whilst keeping them motivated.

‘In addition, the Al based algorithms used in Auro tailor them to suit every user. The patent pending proprietary AI engine analyses multiple input streams to hyper-personalise fitness experiences like a real PT.’

With hundreds of classes that are updated on a monthly basis (about 50 new classes), Auro also provides multi-week structured training programs to help users achieve a wide variety of goals from easing into exercise as a fitness newbie to someone training for a 5k or half marathon.

Auro also integrates with Apple Watch, Garmin, Myzone and a range of wearables to provide detailed heart rate based analytics and personalisation, allowing users to compete with other members or just themselves on the Auro leaderboards based on heart rate data.

Auro adds that it is purposely different from other apps or streaming services available where users have to watch a video on the screen whilst the workout takes place.

‘Auro includes images and GIFs demonstrating each particular workout so form and technique is correct, but afterwards, requires users to fully focus on the activity without the distraction of having to look down or across at a screen to achieve the best results.’

Auro offers a standard free 14-day trial to see for themselves how the app works. After this trial, the monthly costs based on length of subscription are:

  • 12 months – £59.99 (equivalent to £4.99 per month)
  • 1 month. £11.99/month billed monthly
