German gravel bike brand M83 has announced that, starting from November 2021, its customers will be able to choose the Powershift hub and wheelsets from Classified on the M83 Vagabund bike.
The Vagabund is the core product of M83. It has a one-drive crankset, a flexible rubber saddle, wide tyres, an ergonomic cockpit and a stiff, open-mould carbon frame.
As all M83 gravel bikes come with a one-drive crankset, Classified’s technology is seen as an ideal complement to the bike brand’s models. The M83 Vagabund Classified is suited for customers who want to ride a one-drive, but don’t want to miss the comfort of riding a compact cassette and having a wide gear range.
“In our point of view, Classified perfectly combines the advantages of two worlds: the range of a double crank drive with the safety gains, ease and performance of a one-drive system,” said an M83 spokesperson. “We are firmly convinced of this and are pleased to be a partner of Classified.”

Jef Van Herck, Marketing Manager of Classified Cycling, added “No destinations, just options. This open mindset of M83 perfectly fits with the way we look at cycling, technology and innovation.”
The Vagabund with Classified shifting starts at €5499. Due to stock shortages of other groupset components the Vagabund bike will be ‘available in summer 2022 at the latest.’
Classified is Belgian cycling accessories company behind the innovative Powershift technology, replacing the functionality of a front derailleur. Powershift is incorporated in the rear hub and enables riders to change gear, under full load, with ratio coverage and gear steps.
Classified’s products are engineered and produced in Belgium. The company has also developed its own class carbon wheelsets, specifically designed to complement the Powershift hub.
