The collaboration between Swedish sportswear brand Craft and endurance athlete Tommy Rivs has resulted in a new running shoe – the CTM Ultra Carbon Race Rebel.
‘Weighing a mere 200g, the superlight road racer is designed for record-breaking marathon performances at the highest level of running.’
Tommy Rivers Puzey, aka Tommy Rivs is an ultrarunner based in Flagstaff, USA, who has been part of the Craft family since 2020.
“The Race Rebel has been many years in the making and it’s a great feeling to finally introduce this rebellious shoe to the world, especially considering the tough battle that Tommy has been fighting during the last years and which is still ongoing,” said Craft’s Product & Marketing Director Daniel Högling.
“This is the fastest shoe we have ever built, and I know that Tommy is proud of this one, just like everyone at Craft.”

The CTM Ultra Carbon Race Rebel is an evolution of Craft’s CTM Ultra Carbon multi-surface shoe and comes with a ‘hyper-lightweight’ UD Foam Pro midsole foam. The shoe also features Craft’s Ultra Carbon Plate. This is made of carefully sourced carbon fibre and ‘works almost like a trampoline, offering best-in-class energy return.’
In addition, the shoe’s three-piece rubber outsole is made of an ultra-lightweight rubber compound and features a fine, contoured lug pattern that gives traction on smooth surfaces. The company adds that the end result is an ‘aggressive and exceptionally fast road racer that weighs a feathery 200g.’
CTM Ultra Race Rebel is positioned for high-speed marathons and will be used by the runners on the Craft Elite Run Team.
A pre-drop limited edition will be launched in Europe on August 16 and in North America and Asia in mid-September.
