12,000 runners on board with SuperHalfs series journey across Europe

The Spanish city of Valencia witnessed the arrival of the 2022 SuperHalfs series finishers on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Runners work towards ‘super runner’ status and a ‘SuperMedal’ – by crossing the finish line and completing a series of five half marathons in Prague, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia.

The SuperHalfs series is comprised of the five half marathons across Europe. Each of the five races are certified by AIMS, have been awarded a 5 Star Road Race standard by European Athletics or have hosted the World Athletics Half Marathon Championships.

Series participants secure guaranteed entry, merchandise, stamps in a SuperPassport, and a SuperMedal for completing the five-race circuit within 36 months.

The organising team reported that nearly 12,000 runners have started their journey in the series. The SuperPassport holders are 68% male and 32% female. Great Britain tops the list of countries of origin, followed by Spain, Denmark, Portugal, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Ukraine, Brazil, and France.

The series continues next year, starting with the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon, on March 12th, 2023.
