Italian cycling apparel firm, ALÉ Cycling has confirmed its support of women’s cycling teams and organisations for the 2022 season. ALÉ will be supporting the Top Girls Fassa Bortolo team as well as Cams-Basso and the French Cycling Federation women’s team
A partner of ALÉ BTC Ljubljana elite women’s team for a number of years, ALÉ left the helm of the pro team in 2022 following the team’s acquisition by UAE Team Emirates.
In this year’s new season, ALÉ has launched a collaboration with the female squad of the Australian World Tour Team BikeExchange. Meanwhile, n the UCI Continental racing category ALÉ is partnering with two main teams: the Top Girls Fassa Bortolo and the Cams-Basso team.
ALÉ’s long-time collaborator Tatiana Guderzo has signed for the Top Girls Fassa Bortolo squad. The rider, who has won a world championship title, an Olympic bronze medal, two European titles and five Italian championships, raced with the ALÉ BTC Ljubljana team until 2021.
The tie-up with the British team Cams-Basso continues into 2022. The team is aiming for the UK National Road Series but will also take part in events such as the Vuelta and the Amstel Gold Race.
ALÉ’s collaboration with the FFC Fédération Française de Cyclisme, will see national team riders wearing ALÉ through to 2024.
ALÉ noted that, in 2021, ‘the FFC embarked on an ambitious federal plan to feminise cycling.’ This programme has pursued several targets, which should enable the structuring and development of women’s cycling.

However, today’s girls are daughters of that lineage: they may be more social, more modern, but they are equally passionate, and the hard work of this sport does not scare them; indeed, it feeds them.
“I have been fighting for years to grow the women’s cycling movement and with ALÉ we support many ladies’ teams and many girls, who are real talents. I hope that the future will give them, more and more, the space and visibility they deserve.”
