ASICS EMEA reports 4.1% year to date revenue growth

Despite the challenges of global supply chain congestion in early 2022, ASICS EMEA has reported increased revenues in the year to date, up 4.1% year on year. ASICS’ Europe, Middle East & Africa business also reported a YTD operating income margin of 11.6%.

ASICS EMEA reported growth in wholesale channels in all major European markets as well as in own retail channel.

ASICS EMEA, Chief Executive Officer, Carsten Unbehaun said “We’ve seen very strong demand for our brand across all categories in 2022. However, global supply chain congestion in early 2022 impacted product availability.

“Over the last quarter, we’ve implemented solutions to fast-track products to our partners and consumers and now have strong momentum. I am very encouraged by these results and would like to thank our partners for their support.”

In April, ASICS launched the METASPEED+ series. These high-performance shoes, featuring FF BLAST TURBO foam technology.

In June, ASICS partnered with German retailer AFEW to create the ‘Uplifting Pack’, in support of mental health awareness. Comprised of two pairs of GT-II shoes the collaborative capsule helped to raise funds for the Deutsche Depressionshilfe organisation.

This year, ASICS also announced the results of the Global State of Mind Index, which found a direct positive link between exercise and mental health. The research also highlighted that just 15 minutes and 9 seconds of exercise can be all it takes to start to experience mental benefits; and in June ASICS invited the world to be part of the 15:09 Uplift Challenge to lift spirits and raise funds for mental wellbeing.
