Spanish high-end e-bike brand, Crow Bicycles, which launched last year through a crowdfunding campaign, has closed its first investment round, with a capital increase of €300,000.
“The funds raised on this first round will allow us to develop new products, technologies, and services, together with the recruiting of new professionals with great talent and expertise,” said David Toledo, founder, and CEO of Crow. “It will be the ideal formula to continue growing and strengthening our brand positioning.”
Crow Bicycles is expanding its offering… ‘high-performance, ultra-light electric bicycles with premium components and distributed directly to the end-user at a fair price.’
Last year, Crow introduced a range of ultra-light eGravel bikes, which could only be obtained through its crowdfunding campaign.
‘The company, which aims to fill the gap between traditional bicycles and standard electric bicycles, is focused on ultra-light e-bikes, providing the best riding experience and maximum performance with or without assistance. It will present in the coming weeks the new range of bicycles.’
This first line of electric bicycles launched after the end of the round will cover a wide range of uses. The bikes will utilize Fazua’s removable electric system, Ride 50 Trail, allowing the user to ride like an e-bike or a conventional non-assisted bicycle… ‘but 3kg lighter and naturally improving the cyclist’s performance.’
From a business perspective, Crow adds that it is committed to producing in Europe, collaborating closely with regional suppliers, and seeking flexibility and agility. This is together with a direct sales model to users through the brand’s e-commerce platform.
“Our goal is to change the game and evolve the e-bike concept and the business model to get more people to ride,” continued David Toledo.
“The first step is to offer users attractive and highly technological bicycles that engage and get them a smile every time they use them. Every kilometre ridden by bike, or every day that they use the bike instead of a car, is a victory for us and the environment.”
