Enea has extended its cooperation with IRONMAN Poland. The energy firm will be the sole title sponsor of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań. The Polish energy company will also remain the title sponsor of the IRONMAN triathlon competition in Gdynia.
The Enea Group has been supporting IRONMAN in Poland for a number years. The tie-up between one of the leaders of the energy market in the country and the Sport Evolution agency, the organizer of IRONMAN events in Poland, has been extended for another year – with the addition of the race in Poznań also included in 2022.
“Poznań is a special city for us; this is where Enea has its headquarters,” said Paweł Szczeszek, President of Enea.
“The region of north-west Poland is also the area where most of our clients live. We are very happy that after several years of fruitful cooperation, we managed to attract the competition under the name of IRONMAN also to the capital of Greater Poland.
“I hope that Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań, powered by energy from Enea, will permanently enter the triathlon calendar, as one of the largest and best events in the country, as well as the competition held in Gdynia.”
This year’s full distance Enea IRONMAN Gdynia and Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia competitions are planned for the weekend of 5-7 August 2022. The full distance event will have 45 slots available for the IRONMAN World Championship held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań is set to take place on September 4, 2022.

“The extension of the contract for the title sponsorship in Gdynia allows us, year by year, to develop the event and set ourselves more and more ambitious goals. From this year, the capital of Greater Poland will join Gdynia and Warsaw as the host of the most prestigious and largest triathlon competition in Poland.”
In 2022, six races under the IRONMAN brand will take place in Poland:
- Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw – June 12, 2022;
- Citi Handlowy 5150 Warsaw – June 12, 2022;
- Enea IRONMAN Gdynia – August 7, 2022;
- Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia – August 7, 2022;
- Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań – September 4, 2022;
- Enea 5150 Poznań – September 4, 2022.
