Storm clouds have gathered on the inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Clearwater in Florida. The event’s organising team has confirmed that the projected arrival of Hurricane Ian in the local area means that the event has been cancelled for the weekend of October 1-2, 2022.
A release from the organisers noted…
‘Due to the projected timing and location of impact of Hurricane Ian, we no longer believe that we can provide an acceptably safe environment for our participants and as such, we regret to share that the 2022 Publix Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Clearwater cannot take place on Oct. 1 & 2. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series will now make its debut in Clearwater, Florida on October 7 & 8, 2023.
‘Participants that were registered for the 2022 Publix Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Clearwater will receive an email with more information. We thank our runners and walkers for their continued understanding and look forward to providing them with an exceptional Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series experience in Clearwater with a great event in 2023.’
