One of the world’s most accomplished triathletes, Javier Gómez Noya, has partnered with Spanish bike firm Orbea.
Gómez Noya has won five Triathlon World Championships, an Olympic medal and four European Championships, among numerous other achievements. In 2022, the elite triathlete has set his sights on long course triathlon and will be riding the Orbea Ordu triathlon bike.
During training sessions, he will incorporate the recently introduced Orca Aero and Oiz for MTB trails.
In 2022, turning to long distance racing after closing his chapter on Olympic distance triathlon – Gómez Noya will aim to mix it up with a new intake of elite triathletes as well as an old guard of established long course athletes.

The IRONMAN World Championship will move outside of Hawai`i for the first time, taking place in St George, Utah on May 7, 2022 – prior to returning to Kona, Hawai`i, with a new two-day race format on October 6 and 8, 2022.
The pro triathlete is already preparing his season on his new Orbea Ordu with a number of objectives in mind, such as qualifying for the World Triathlon Long-Distance World Championship, the World Championship IRONMAN in St George and IRONMAN World Champioship in Kona.
His first competition will be held in Chile in a few days, at IRONMAN 70.3 in Pucón, where he will make his debut with the new Orbea Ordu.
“The bike has been one of the main reasons that prompted me to change,” Gómez Noya added. “I feel very comfortable on the Ordu, undoubtedly an essential factor for medium- and long-distance races.”
